I'm a girl, looking to get my first tattoo. Probably want it done on my shoulder or off to one side on my upper back. The thing is I really don't want some generic design done by a crappy artist, and since I'm kind of involved with art it would be cool to get some help designing it. I have no idea where to look for an artist or design ideas/help though. I live in eastern US. Can someone give me a source or something? Thank you!

Im not sure if this will help, but I have an idea for your tattoo. I have always wanted to get something like an open zipper, and inside instead of it showing muscle, it showing this cute cartoon scene. I also found some pictures of great tattoos.

i've been into photography for quite a while and i'm majoring in it in college. it's a hugeee part of my life, and i want to represent that with a tattoo.
i looked up some examples on google images, but nothing really caught my eye. i'm looking for something more unique than just a picture of my camera.
it doesn't really matter what part of my body it's on.

I actually think that that does look really cute. Very simple. I don't know if you're into that kind of thing--simple linework. If not, I think that just the tattoos of cameras can look really nice:
