tattoos for girls religious image
Tommy
For a city that's all about the "live and let live" philosophy, I find it incredibly hypocritical that some want to outlaw circumcising children... Even for religious reasons.
They actually have the nerve to make the claim that it's genital mutilation? So shouldn't sex change operations also be outlawed? Isn't that a bit extreme to consider it mutilation?
Answer
Why's it hypocritical? What's hypocritical is that it's illegal to so much as pinprick the genitals of a baby girl (as it should be), but it's legal to remove over half of the penile skin of a baby boy. Now that's hypocritical.
It's about time that baby boys are granted the same basic human rights as baby girls.
Yeah, live and let live. Do whatever you want with your own body - circumcision, sex changes, tattooes, whatever. But if it's someone *else's* body...what give you the right to cosmetically alter it without their consent?
Note that sex transitions are something people choose for themselves. If people started doing sex changes on babies, now of course that's barbaric and should be illegal.
No, it's not extreme to consider infant circumcision mutilation. Because it's mutilation by definition.
It's not just liberals that are against infant/child circumcision. It's not a political issue. Anyone who cares about human rights - especially the right to bodily integrity - is against it.

"The reason circumcising started was for hygiene reasons and because of infections"
Actually, no. In the USA, the reason circumcision started among non-Jews and Muslims was to prevent adolescent boys from masturbating. Look it up if you don't believe me.
The "hygiene and health" BS was invented not too long ago.
You think circumcisions are easier on babies? Then so are tonsilectomies, appendectomies, and hey so is heart surgery. Let's do all those on healthy babies to avoid them having to be done on adults, shall we?

Is it okay to like emo and gothic girls?
Nate
I love to be around them and would love to date one too. I really like those with the nose piercing but not to crazy about the ones with the tattoos covering their entire body. The problem I have however I have heard that they us drugs and smoke and drink etc. also forgive me if I offend anyone they worship the devil. These are things I have heard. So I am a Christian and love these kind of women they seem so interesting but should I if the rumors are true?
Answer
I'm considered a bit 'emo' in a way. I have the piercings and hair and clothes and music, but i most definately do not worship the devil, and i don't know a single person who does! these are just rumours and there is no real truth in them!
And as for the drinking and smoking and drugs etc, i can tell you now i do none of them. Obviously i'll have a drink if i go out, but doesn't everyone? Its nothing extreme and probably just once every few months.
Goth and emo is a style, not a lifestyle. Its music taste, clothes and hair styles, not what you do with your time. There are plenty of religious goth and emo girls out there.
