Next tattoo idea?

Samantha

If you're going to preach about how you think tattoos are stupid, then you can click the back button right now. Nobody cares.

Anywaysssss, I have 5 tattoos, all places that can be hidden.

I am thinking about getting another tattoo, of my parents' birth years in Roman Numerals (1961 & 1963)
But I am unsure of the placement because I want an inter bicep tattoo, but I want to be a teacher, so I don't know. Or my other shoulder blade,, but would that look weird having 2 shoulder blade tattoos?

What do you think of the idea? (no ribs, have one in the middle of my back [small double infinity sign], my left shoulder blade, and my right pelvis)
Where should I get it done??
I just got a new tattoo 3 weeks ago⦠Is in a week too soon for one?

Answer
Tattoos arent stupid....but asking random people when you should get permanent ink on your body might be just a lil lol. It has to be 100% up to you its YOUR body its something you have to see everyday and something that will effect your career. Put it wear you want hun
The ideas are fine btw
(girls who are tatted usually dont care of what others will think their tattoos look weird)

places for word tattoos?

Felicity

Answer
personally i love wrists tattoo's. i think they are so cute and if i ever got one i would get a word or quote tattooed on my wrist. another place i like tattoos is the waist. i think those two places are cute places for tattoos.

Henna tattoos on guys?

TJ

Is it considered improper or "gay" for a dude to get a henna tat? Not some flower stuff with swirls and twists, but instead like a normal tattoo design, just with henna?

IE - a skull, a chain of bullets, a gun, a motorcycle, a scroll, Chinese characters, etc. etc.

Answer
No. In general. In specific cultural situations it would be inappropriate, or at least nontraditional, for a man to get henna. For your average westerner looking for a fun design, it's fine. I love doing henna on guys. Girls like flowers and other things that are easy. Guys usually want something more geometric or uncommon, which is a nice challenge. Plus they're a bigger canvas, so you can make huge dragons and battle scenes.

How should I tell if the tattoo shop and artist is good enough?

I would like to get a tattoo for my birthday. It will be my first one. Is there anything I should look out for as far as a decent shop? Also..because I am a girl..I feel there are only few places tattoos would look nice if you are a girl and have a tattoo where is yours? I'd like some ideas of where to put a tattoo.

Answer
Very simple. Any reputable tattoo shops will have their artists portfolios out so that you can look at them. If they don't then they are probably not professional and you should avoid them. Also, look for cleanliness. A good shop is a clean shop. Also a good shop will not have you pay until the tattoo is finished. They will make sure that you have enough money, but not ask you to pay until the work is done. A good artist will always open the needles in front of you, assemble the tattoo gun in front of you, and wear gloves at all times!!. A good artist also is not afraid to tell you that a flash design looks better on paper than it does on skin. A good artist is also not afraid to talk you out of getting a design that you may regret later or be unsure about getting in the first place. The biggest thing to remember is that you pay for what you get. That goes for everything in life, tattoos are no different. So shop around and look at prices. If the price seems too cheap to believe, then you should probably not believe in the quality of it. REMEMBER, TATTOOS ARE FOREVER! As far as ideas and locations go, that's up to you and the artist. A tattoo should mean something, not be just a trendy thing, or something that a million other people have. The best advice I can give you in that area is get something kinda small (not a whole back piece or something large like that) for your first tattoo. Make sure you are able to handle the pain. Also maybe get it somewhere that it can be hidden in case you don't ever plan on getting any more. If you like getting tattoos as much as I did then you wont mind people seeing other ones you may get in the future. I made the concious decision to get my arms sleeved down. I thought about future jobs I might get and having to wear long sleeve shits forever. I took all that into consideration before I even got my first tattoo.Think long and hard about what you want to get!! Hope I could help! :-)
