Well I've had an...unfair family life. People have it much worse than me so I won't say bad. But anyways I want to symbolize my freedom from them. I mean I still keep in contacts but I don't live with/near them anymore, thank god. I'm a girl so I dont want a manly tattoo or anything and I'd like it to be smaller but not really small.

I'm thinking a pheonix bird on the back of my neck.

Any other ideas or places?

This is a cool idea. Why don't you have a open bird cage on your wrist and have birds flying out. But make the birds like doves, so in white ink. It would be harder to see, but it has a great impact. Plus, white tattoo ink glows under a black light (how cool is that!)

The one on your hand and the ones on your wrists are probably the problem.

The one on your foot can be covered up with shoes.
The one on your forearm can be covered up with a shirt (I had to do this for a previous job).
The one on the back of your neck can be covered up with hair.

When I worked at a restaurant/ food place, they didn't care about tattoos.
I work in construction, but in an office, but I don't think they care about the guys out there working that they have tattoos.

Ohhhh matching tattoos, such a dilemma. My boyfriend in high school really wanted to get matching tattoos... then we broke up a couple months later. Dodged THAT bullet! haha.

I realize that the idea of matching tattoos are cute and romantic... But just make sure you realllly think about it before you take the plunge. A tattoo is forever (sometimes, a boyfriend is not).

But, if you've really thought it out and you know you'll be with him forever here are some cool ideas:

-Half a heart on the side of your rib, like below your armpit. (It's cute and when you hug your "heart" will be complete. It's also a good choice because it's in a very discrete place, so if you ever do break-it off it's not too noticeable. It's also a good location for future job interviews =]

-Another fun idea is maybe a simple number that is important to you both. For example, my current boyfriend of six years and I started dating on January 10. So 10 has always just kind of been "our number". You could place it on your wrist, or anywhere really.

-Lyrics to "your song" Another simple idea.

-A cool quote in another language like Victoria and David have.âI am my belovedâs, my beloved is mineââ in Hebrew.

-If you're both really into music I think one of the coolest ideas for couple's tatts is to have the girl get the treble clef and the boy get the bass clef inked in the same location. It's something cute together, but also cute if you should ever break up.

I think the most important thing here is to remember to get something that means something to you individually as well as to you as a couple. Hope I've given you some ideas, or some ideas to jump start better ideas! Good luck! =]
