Help with tattoo design?

Q. Hey, first of all i want to know what everybody thinks of this design for a tattoo on my upper arm

i would also like to know if anybody has any suggestions on what i could do to improve it

I'm so glad you asked this question! I've been designing tattoos for some people for a while now. I think that'd be a BAD A tat! What I would suggest is that you put some vines around it. I'm not sure if your a guy or girl because I can't make out your profile picture but if your a girl, a rose would look good at the bottom where the guns connect and with vines going up from there and wrapping around the guns. Smoke coming out from the top would look pretty cool too. Also some light shadowed pin stripes behind both of the guns with some of the stripes curling around the guns or just behind it. I hoped I helped at least a little. I wish I could see what you decided to do!

Arm tattoo bad idea for a girl?

I want a rose tattoo possibly on my upper arm or on the inside of my lower arm. im just worried about it looking trashy. this tattoo is in memory of my mom and i want to be able to see it. im not planning on getting a sleeve or anything, so i want to make sure it wont look weird. Im also concidering my foot. Any suggestions??

I have tattoos on both arms, so obviously I like the placement. People are always going to judge you for having a visible tattoo, no matter what the reasoning behind the tattoo. I think it's impossible for well executed, attractive designs to look trashy, but others disagree with me.

so where do you all look for tattoo designs? just to give you a little background, I'm a girl..and I'm planning to get a small tattoo on my hip just above where hipster jeans rest...if that makes sense. I'm undecided on what I want- maybe a rose or lily design but I also think a heart or something celtic would be cute. I probably just want something that's all black but maybe a really soft yellow or orange/red would be nice too. my skin is reallllllly white and I'm realllllllly skinny...so yeah I'm having trouble finding pics I like. anyone know where I should look?

The below works for ideas, but I recommend you take them as suggestions for your own ideas. Most artists seem reticent on copying the art of others, but inspired by can work. I do recommend that you do something that's more you. It seems more satisfying to me to have something unique to me only.

I'm also really pale (but not skinny), and tattoos show up *really* well on us. When I get out of the shower my gf is always amazed at how bright my tattoo looks. Whether you go for B&W or color (like mine, the work thus far on my 360), the art really stands out.

What tattoo design should I get and where?

Q. I don't want anything big. This would be my first tattoo and most likely my only. I was thinking of getting one on my ankle or my wrist?

Also, what design should I get? I'm a girl :) I don't want a traditional one like a butterfly or a rose or a star. I wanted something unique.

Any ideas?

Get the word Enigma tattooed on you. Make sure the inks are different gradient colors as the word is spelled out

I've always been a big fan of the Compass Rose. There are so many designs that you could seriously personalize it... Make it celtic, or old-looking, of whatever ( just google-image compass rose for a ton of ideas ) You can go from simple to really fancy, too.

I'd get it on my ribs. Always thought that calf tattoos on a girl just look clunky. Just an opinion, though. Someone else might feel different.

Also, if someone asks you about it, and you don't feel like giving a long talk about pirates, you can just say "It's to help me find my way...

How to fix a tattoo of my son's name? What sort of design to put around it?

I got a tattoo of my son's name going vertically down my forearm, unfortunately that was a big mistake! I should have gotten it done horizontally on my upper arm. And I am not crazy about the guy's cursive, I really had calligraphic writing in mind but I'm stuck with it now.

So, the question is, how to make it LOOK better? I was thinking getting some sort of design around the tattoo so it doesn't look so much like a prison tattoo or like I wrote on my own arm with a sharpie. I don't want girly girl crap like hearts and unicorns, but I was thinking of putting a green thorny rosevine through the name and having roses drawn around it or something.

Any ideas?

Well first off I would say is there a way to improve what was done? If its spaced enough could you have a GOOD artist (one you research this time) possibly enlarge the lines and clean them up where its needed?

As far as additional work the rose vine is a very good idea. It's a little cliché to be sure but it will definitely hide imperfections. You can also try barbwire. If your very into electronics you could even do something a little more original and use RCA wires or speaker wire.
