i want to get a simple tattoo.....girl....

ok these are the rules of a tattoo you won't ever regret.

1. make sure it means a lot to you.
2. let the artist help draw you up something. so it's his/hers and your own design.
3. simple isn't always the best way to go.
4. make sure it's in a place you won't get tired of seeing.
5. make sure you really want that design.
6. make sure you really want a tattoo
(these aren't in order but they don't have to be because they all should be followed) :)

side story...i want a wrist tattoo but waited and got my second idea first...reason why i did that is ...the wrist is somewhere i will be seeing all the time and if i get tired of the design then it would be annoying...so what i did was put the picture that i printed on my computer monitor so i see it everyday. after a year im still not tired of it. it has so much meaning...like 10 different things...again make sure it's got meaning to it. so when i get my second tattoo i know for sure i really want it. good luck! i hope i helped :)

when getting a tattoo consider absolutely everything.
look at japanese style tattoos, Aztec style and the old school style tattoos such as the typical sparrow and anchors etc.

you have to remember you are going to have this your whole life so your going to have to choose something you won't regret and get sick of.

I think a very sexy place to get a tattoo is the back. its typical but looks really good. and yeahh your grans signature isn't that sexy. If you want something meaningful of your nan think of something that represents her. what does she love? what reminds you of her? etc etc

Need Tattoo design Ideas?

I want a tattoo but I need some idea's... I was wanting a rose I know that much its going to symbolize the fact that I'm a rape survivor... just wondering if anyone has some sort of idea. Also if you have some sort of saying idea to go around or through the tattoo would be nice.

Getting this tattoo is basically my way of saying that I'm tired of being scared what other people will think and that I'm not scared of the people who raped me anymore and that I am ready to stop being silent.

I'm a girl and need ideas for a tattoo I want. Maybe something about love but I dont really want anything about my boyfriend too much. But hearts and girl stuff or sayings?

I think that websites are a good place to start looking as they enable you to get ideas on designs/colours/patterns etc.

I would say though, don't rush into anything! But also don't let anyone tell you that you NEED to have some sort of hidden/special meaning behind your tattoo either - your first tattoo will always be special to you anyway because it is your first :)

I had my first one done on my foot and I love it!

Hey! I'm having a bit of trouble designing my first tattoo, which is going on my right ribs. I have all ready been settled on a quote from Marianne Williamson, but I do not want the whole quote. The entire quote is:

I am getting this quote because it is a quote my mother and I have had an extremely close connection with, and I want the tattoo in her hand writing. However, like I said before, I don't want the whole quote on my ribs. I just want something smaller. Also, I don't know how I could form the words. I just want to be 100% sure on my tattoo design before I get it. Any help would be appreciated!

One way to find your ideal tattoo aside from visiting a tattoo studio is checking tattoo websites like http://www.tattoodesignslive.com/tattoos-designs/designs-for-girls/that have a lot of tattoo designs. Pick a few tattoo designs where you can get an idea on how your tattoo should look like. Or if you have a talented friend, you can ask him/her to draw something for you.

I am wanting to get a cover up tattoo and have to decide on what I want to get. I am thinking of getting a half sleeve Hawaiian theme tattoo. I have a hula girl tattoo on my back and thought that they would go well together (sticking with one theme on my body). The half sleeve tattoo would consist of a mix of flowers, palm trees, tiki, fish, etc.

I lived in the Hawaiian islands (Maui) and am in love with the state. I will eventually be moving to Honolulu soon and living there. The tattoo would mean something to me I can keep with forever. Opinions appreciated!

Well, ask yourself what theme and meaning you want this back piece to have. Is it apocalyptic? War related? What value does the piece have and what sort of symbolism from your own life can you add into it? Sorry this is vague, it's just hard to suggest much when we don't really know what you were aiming for.
