My cousin and i being both females have planned on getting star tattoos but im not sure if i want a star tattoo does anyone have any ideas on cute kind of symbolic tattoos that would be appropriate?Thank You

Why don't you guys pick out something that has meaning for the both of you? Tattoos aren't necessarily appropriate just for girls or guys, I have some bats tattooed on me, a robot, and it really doesn't matter. Get something you both love, who cares if it's not girly. As long as you like it, you can tell everybody else where they can stick it.

It depends on your style and what kind of tattoos that you like but this is what I came up with:

One of my favorite tattoos that I've seen girls have is a dream catcher tattoo, mainly because it never looks tacky and I think anyone can pull it off. Also you can have it anywhere, big or small.

Another idea would just be words or a bible verse which is really common and everything but I still love tattoos like that. When it comes to having words tattoo I think it just comes down to placement and my favorite placements are back and forearm.

Getting a tattoo idea from a link well is going to be hard to say that not a lot of people have got it. Chances are if there is a link for it someone has replicated it or modified to be more original or either the artist did it verbatim as the design that exists on a public platform such as the web. I'd suggest that you go to a professional, clean, sterile, and reputable shop and take a look at the artist's portfolios and maybe sit down and talk with them and get them to draw you up something nice and original that is for you. You could be more detailed in what you like and it would been easier to help you. Giving the things that you like help a lot more than being so broad about you liking girly things and that depends on the persons individual concept of what is girl and what isn't. It could differ from person to person. But I think you would be pleased to go to a shop and get someone to talk with you and draw you something up cute that you love and that expresses what you want it to.

I know it's really early to be thinking about this, but I want to think ahead.
I'm a 17 year old guy and my friend is an 18 year old girl. She loves to read, she loves any kind of food and she eats all the time, she loves to draw and paint, she's an equestrian, she likes star wars and lord of the rings, she watches anime, she has a fascination of zombies, and she wants to be a tattoo artist. I'm terrible at picking out gifts so any ideas would be appreciated.

I am wanting to get a cover up tattoo and have to decide on what I want to get. I am thinking of getting a half sleeve Hawaiian theme tattoo. I have a hula girl tattoo on my back and thought that they would go well together (sticking with one theme on my body). The half sleeve tattoo would consist of a mix of flowers, palm trees, tiki, fish, etc.

I lived in the Hawaiian islands (Maui) and am in love with the state. I will eventually be moving to Honolulu soon and living there. The tattoo would mean something to me I can keep with forever. Opinions appreciated!

Does your favorite team have an animal icon? That's a good tattoo design, but make it look fierce and sexy at the same time, to represent your character, and put more personalized touch such as a name, a word or date.

I had the same mind set and now I regret my first tattoo. Put more thought into it beforehand, I wish I had. I now have many more, that all have meaning and I love them. But that very first one is one of the biggest regrets of my life. Plus, everyone gets a star. Do something more original. Like your zodiac sign or a tribute to someone close to you who passed, like a family member or friend. Or if you're a daddy's girl, get that written on you... SOMETHING other than a star - yuck!
Plus, neck tattoos can't be covered up if you get a job that requires you to have your hair up, like any branch of the military or if you work with food. I would reconsider the placement.
I've never had a neck tattoo and never will. The most painful places for me were my hipbone and upper ribcage/armpit area. My wrist didn't hurt at all (I have "mom" across my wrist in pretty letters) and my biceps didn't really hurt either. My backbone wasn't too bad. I usually take a nap during my tattoo time. But not my ribs & hipbones! I have to take a Vicodin beforehand for those! But most people aren't as good with pain as I am. I know LOTS of people with partial tattoos because they couldn't get theirs finished due to pain. It also depends on the artist. Some have a heavy hand, and don't use the right gauges of needles. Usually beginner tattooists are notorious for this. It makes you bleed a lot and it hurts more. More experienced artists don't make you bleed as much and don't cause as much pain, because they use the right needles. I have a regular artist I go to, because they are very experienced. I would never go to another for any reason. Check around your area before making you final decision!
