Help me! Tattoo of name and want to cover it up.?

Shylow

Okay. Waist tattoo. Name: Katie. No floral or anything like that cover ups. I want to get a nice, clean cover up. Katie is sorta big. I looked and all I could find was roses and angel wings. Does anyone have a free tattoo design website? I need to get this covered as soon as possible. PS. My girl won't have anything to do with my body if I don't cover the name. Suggestions? Help me please. Thank you.
Just useful websites that are free would be a huge help. Guys I'm dying over here. she won't let me touch her because of the tattoo.

Answer
Without being able to actually see the tattoo you have it would be pretty much impossible for anyone on here to suggest what would be able to cover it properly. Your best bet is to go to a local shop and have something drawn up by an artist. However, chances are extremely high that if it is in black and big your cover up is going to have to be heavy and dark in colors, simply because you can not cover black with something lighter for obvious reasons. I would strongly suggest looking into laser tattoo removal. Even if you want to get a new tattoo done in that same area, they can lighten it up to a point where a cover up will look amazing instead of like a cover up. Most cover ups you can still see the outline of the original tattoo unless it happens to be done with a home made machine. Most schools that teach laser removal will do the work at a discount price. Its a student that does it, but there is always a teacher there watching. Its not cheap either way, but it really comes down to how important it is for you to have quality work or not. Best of luck.

Angel wings tattoo?

Meechelle

My grandmother, whom I was very close with, passed away within the past year. I've been thinking of some type of tattoo I could get to represent her, and I keep coming back to the angel wings. I know they are so cliché and common right now, but I'm trying to think of a way to make them more my own and not like the girl standing next to me. I want a pair of cute, simple wings with a small halo on top. And then I would like to have her name, initials, or Gram (how I referred to her) written in script between the wings. I also definitely don't want this on my back. I was debating around one of my shoulder blades, but I'm still not quite sure.
One, does that sound like a gay tattoo? You can be honest. And two, any ideas on where I could get it? I don't want it too in the open, but when summer comes and I'm on the beach, I won't mind if it's visible if that helps. Any input would be great and appreciated. Thanks so much!!

Answer
Put it where you want it and if you like the design that's great. Do what you want to do because tattoos are supposed to make you happy and have meaning for you not for other people. No matter what tattoo and where you put it someone is going to think it looks stupid because it all comes with having a tattoo but if it makes you feel happy and beautiful to have it on your body then you wont care what they say about the tattoo. Just make it your own.

Tattoos on Girls?

Tonster

Do you think they are unattractive on girls. If I did, it would be music notes behind my ear and a design of a star moon and sun on my hip for my faith. Thanks

Answer
It all depends on what you get and who you have it done by.

Personally, I think most tattoos are gorgeous on the body (male or female). I've seen some massive tribal work done on girls and it was amazing. Your tattoo ideas sound lovely and would be rather easy to hide anyway.

At the end of the day though, it all depends on what you think and what you want to do with your body.

Tattoo Designs?

Mom22

Well I am getting a tattoo next month but I haven't decided what I want to get yet. I want to get my kids names ( maybe birthdays also ) but I want some kind of design like a heart or butterfly and I want to put my oldest daughter's name above it and my youngest daughters name below it, but I cannot find any websites that have letter designs and most of the sites that I have looked at, you have to pay to look at full size pics of the tattoos so, does anyone have any good sites I can go to or any pics of your own tattoos that you wouldn't mind sharing, thank you!
Dinulchik- I knew I would get a response from someone telling me I would regret it lol...I already have a tat on my ankle, it's just a tiny heart and I don't regret that, I have wanted tattoo's since I was really young, I am 26 years old, married with kids, I think I know what I want, If I had any doubt in my mind I wouldn't do it. But thank you for your concern.
Tinywitch- I'm not sure if I am actually getting the tattoo next month but normally my mom give me a $200 gift card to a clothing store, I told her this year I wanted a gift card for a local Tattoo shop. I have checked them out and they do have a design there that I really like but I am just keeping my options open just in case I see something I like better.
Also I am getting it on my upper back right under my neck. I don't want it too big, I would say 4 or 5 inches in width and maybe 2 or 3 inches in height.
Chelly- The I have checked out a few with some moons and stars but I cannot find any that will look right where I want to put mine ( on my upper back, right under my neck ).

Answer
I would go to your local tattoo shop and look at the different designs they have you might be able to get some ideas there also a few of the guys I know also freehand designs they might be able to come up with one that will be unique. That's what I had done with mine. A friend of mine wanted something so she could have her kids names in it also and she went with precious moments it was the moon and stars the lil girl was laying on the moon looking up at the stars and each star had her kids name in it . Take your time and don't rush things if u haven't found one u really like. Tattoos cost a lot to have taken off. Good Luck finding the right design

Pin up tattoos on a girl, where?

Kay

I decided to get a pin up girl tattoo about 5 inches long or maybe smaller. I'm not sure, but I don't want it big. I know what she's going to do and everything but...I have no idea where to put her. I definitely don't want it on anywhere on my arm or my bottom legs. But I just don't know where. Anyone have ideas?

Answer
I agree, ribs. Or your back. Or side of your stomach.

I was actually going to suggest bottom leg or arm. I don't know though, some people can pull things off better than others. I love these though:

http://i36.tinypic.com/24b90s6.jpg
(girl's arm)

http://i33.tinypic.com/160z9kz.jpg
(leg)

It depends on your overall style and what sort of personality you have though. I love pin up tattoos :)
With you wanting it about 5 inches there aren't many other places it could go unless you build it into already existing tattoos since it would probably look out of place isolated anywhere on the body bar arms, lower leg and stomach/ribs/back.

Guys, do you like girls with tattoos on their legs - how about mine? [pics]?

Rachael s

I've had a scar from a burn on my leg for years - I dont think it will fade anymore - I suddenly thought a tattoo might be a good idea - to try it out I got some temporary ones - all celtic designs and chose one about the same size as the scar. Do you think it's a good idea?
scar without tattoo: http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s475/rachaelsweet/scar.jpg?t=1351639649
temp tattoos on my leg (and foot!) http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s475/rachaelsweet/scartattoo1.jpg?t=1351639643
close up of tattoo on scar http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s475/rachaelsweet/scartattoo2.jpg?t=1351639647
thanks

Answer
People cover scars with tattoos every day. In your case, also make sure that the size of the tattoo covers that whole part of the leg or it will look like a cartoon because it was too small.

How many books come after "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo"?

xXxNicxXx

How many books follow Stieg Larrson's "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"? Because I could have sworn I heard on the news that there were supposed to be ten books in the series, but only six of them reached publication with a possible seventh in hiding, but when I check around, there's only three books. Have the rest just not been translated yet?

Answer
There are three in all. The author is dead now and they published his 3 books.
They are:
The Girl with the Dragon Tatto
The Girl Who Played with Fire
and
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.
Also, 3/4 of the fourth book was written before the author's sudden death. His partner posses it on her computer and people are saying that there may be outlines for one or two more books.
Hope that helped! =)
And you can check out morea about the author and stuff on these links:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Girl_with_the_Dragon_Tattoo <- is about the first book
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Girl_Who_Played_with_Fire <- is about the second book

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo or The Hunger Games?

1dopedude_

I want to buy a new Blu Ray and these are my 2 main options. Which one do you guys think I should buy? I've seen Dragon Tattoo but it's a classic but I haven't seen The Hunger Games.

Answer
If you haven't seen Hunger Games then I would recommend picking it up but if you were considering which one is better I would have to say The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Another thing to consider, which one has better rewatch value, I would say The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo because there is plenty of detail you may have missed in the previous watching.

I have seen the Dragon Tattoo 3 times, I have seen Hunger Games once. The other day I decided to rewatch Hunger Games but ended up quitting 10 minutes in because all the scenes from the movie flooded back into my head and it became boring to watch.

Hunger Games = fun and entertaining the first time watching but no rewatch value
Dragon Tattoo = more details (more rewatch value), amazing director, and great mystery atmosphere

What does it represent when a girl has two swallows tattooed on her lower stomach just above the waist?

Evil

I know that a swallow means you will always find your way home and come back. What do the two mean on a girls stomach?

Answer
Swallow tattoo's have a variety of meanings.

They were first made popular by sailors, a sailor with two swallows had traveled 10,000 miles (one bird for each 5,000 miles). Swallows always return back to their home so it was said that swallows were a symbol that the sailor would one day return home.

If this girl isn't in the Navy then swallows also represent love and affection for family members and friends. Showing that this person is very loyal.

She probably just liked the way the design looked on her stomach so she decided to get the tattoo there. I would ask her if you are really that interested. I'm sure she'll tell you!

Designing a tattoo for a girl...?

Avinue

She didn't say anything about what she might want on it, or things that interest her etc. All I know is that it's a chestpiece, it can be as big or small as it needs to be, and she wants it to be girly, but not too girly. I think I understand what she means by that, but where do I even begin? I was thinking about putting some swallows on it and have them maybe holding a ribbon saying something, but what should it say? I have a few ideas I'm just completely clueless on what she'll like, but I really want to make something she'll like.
I'm listening to Kerli and I had the idea to put some dolls or doll-like girls on it, can anyone find me some artistic/creepy pictures of dolls or doll-like people?

Answer
a piece of poo with flys surrounding it with a flag that says
"eat me"

Tattooing

Answer
Tattooing has been a practice of almost every known people. The Ainu, the indigenous people of Japan, wore unique facial tattoos. Tattooing was widespread among Polynesian peoples, and in the Philippines, Borneo, Samoa, Africa, Japan, and China.

Tattooing has been a Eurasian practice since Neolithic times. "Ãtzi the Iceman", dated circa 3300 BC was tattooed, as was the mummified male found in the Pasaryk burial whose body was tattooed with stylized animal designs. In the Steppes, other natural mummies up to 7000 years old have been found to have tattoos.

Europeans rediscovered tattooing during the exploration of the South Pacific under Captain James Cook in the 1770s, and sailors were particularly identified with tattoos in European culture until after World War I.

Tattoos have always had an important role in ritual and tradition. In Borneo, women tattooed symbols on their forearm indicating their particular skill. If a woman wore a symbol indicating she was a skilled weaver, her status as prime marriageable material was increased. Tattoos around the wrist and fingers were believed to ward away illness. Throughout history tattoos have signified membership in a clan or society. Even today groups like the Hells Angels tattoo their particular group symbol. TV and movies have used the idea of a tattoo indication membership in a secret society numerous times. It has been believed that the wearer of an image calls the spirit of that image. The ferocity of a tiger would belong to the tattooed person. That tradition holds true today shown by the proliferation of images of tigers, snakes, and bird of prey.

In recorded history, the earliest tattoos can be found in Egypt during the time of the construction of the great pyramids (It undoubtedly started much earlier). When the Egyptians expanded their empire, the art of tattooing spread as well. The civilizations of Crete, Greece, Persia, and Arabia picked up and expanded the art form. Around 2000 BC tattooing spread to China.

The Greeks used tattooing for communication among spies. Markings identified the spies and showed their rank. Romans marked criminals and slaves. This practice is still carried on today. The Ainu people of western Asia used tattooing to show social status. Girls coming of age were marked to announce their place in society, as were the married women. The Ainu are noted for introducing tattoos to Japan where it developed into a religious and ceremonial rite. In Borneo, women were the tattooists. It was a cultural tradition. They produced designs indicating the owners station in life and the tribe he belonged to. Kayan women had delicate arm tattoos which looked like lacy gloves. Dayak warriors who had "taken a head" had tattoos on their hands. The tattoos garnered respect and assured the owners status for life. Polynesians developed tattoos to mark tribal communities, families, and rank. They brought their art to New Zealand and developed a facial style of tattooing called Moko which is still being used today. There is evidence that the Mayan, Incas, and Aztecs used tattooing in the rituals. Even the isolated tribes in Alaska practiced tattooing, their style indicating it was learned from the Ainu.

In the west, early Britons used tattoos in ceremonies. The Danes, Norse, and Saxons tattooed family crests (a tradition still practiced today). In 787 AD, Pope Hadrian banned tattooing. It still thrived in Britain until the Norman Invasion of 1066. The Normans disdained tattooing. It disappeared from Western culture from the 12th to the 16th centuries.

While tattooing diminished in the west, it thrived in Japan. At first, tattoos were used to mark criminals. First offenses were marked with a line across the forehead. A second crime was marked by adding an arch. A third offense was marked by another line. Together these marks formed the Japanese character for "dog". It appears this was the original "Three strikes, you're out" law. In time, the Japanese escalated the tattoo to an aesthetic art form. The Japanese body suit originated around 1700 as a reaction to strict laws concerning conspicuous consumption. Only royalty were allowed to wear ornate clothing. As a result of this, the middle class adorned themselves with elaborate full body tattoos. A highly tattooed person wearing only a loin cloth was considered well dressed, but only in the privacy of their own home.

William Dampier is responsible for re-introducing tattooing to the west. He was a sailor and explorer who traveled the South Seas. In 1691 he brought to London a heavily tattooed Polynesian named Prince Giolo, Known as the Painted Prince.

Most suitable tattoos for a Gemini?

Lady

What would be a suitable tattoo for a person with the zodiac sign Gemini?
I'm not going to actually tattoo it on my body. I was just curious what your opinions or thoughts would be. I thought a feather. Gemini's are an air sign, so a feather would be symbolic because it represents air in a way.

Thanks :) xo

Answer
I'm a Gemini. I've never really thought about doing a tattoo to represent my zodiac sign, but that's interesting. I'm the poster girl of Gemini, though. I really like the idea of a cartoon girl in her pajamas with piggytails, then half of her pajamas are red, the other half are white. On her head, half a halo, half a horn, then a pointy tail. But, then, all my tattoos are "figures", drawings. I have a fairy, a witch, an elf sticking his tongue out, a bipolar guy. Half angel, half demon girl to represent the duality of personality would be nothing extreme :)

Would you get a Zodiac Tattoo?(pic)?

In true Scorpio form, I went extreme and got a huge one!

Hey, it's my first tatt -go big or go home!:-)

Oh yeah, gotta give a shout-out to Philadelphia Eddie's tattoo....they do amazing work!

Would you get a Zodiac tattoo? Why or why not?

Answer
I did! I got the libra scales on my back, like up on my right shoulder, not very big, about the size of a half dollar. What I really wanted was to get the scales with two winged (maybe like fairy creatures on each side tipping them) one angel one devil (for gemini my moon sign to represent good girl bad girl) but the scales would have had to be really big so I just went for the small more tasteful looking tat.

Rosalind

For boys:
Miles
Julius
Demetrius
Kenneth
Caedmon (CAD-mon)
Lysander
Frederick
Gideon
Hadrian
Judah

Thank you!

Answer
Clara -I want to like Clara more than I do. For me, it's the CL at the beginning: it sounds weird to me in all sorts of names and words. Personal taste aside, it's a sweet, classy name, which sounds fresher and softer than Claire. Clara Scarlett, Clara Jewel, Clara Imogen.

Moira -So cute! I think it's cooler sounding than Maya and fresher than Maureen, but still very Irish flavored. Moira Bryn, Moira Hero, Moira Ivy.

Susanna -The second grader in my brain keeps trying to shout "oh Susannah! Oh don't you cry for me!" But I also work with a guy from Alabama who tattooed a banjo on his kneecap, so it's never far from my mind. I think it's more dated than a lot of your other choices because of the popularity of Susan in the sixties. It's more modern than Susan, but it immediately brings it to mind for me. It also makes me think of Souixie and the Banshees, though. Susanna June, Susanna Louise, Susanna Noelle.

Isla -It's so sweet! I'm a bit paranoid that it's going to skyrocket because of Isla Fisher, but it's such a cool, unusual name, I would use it anyways. Isla Piper, Isla Danielle, Isla Maeve.

Esperanza -I remember reading a book in Spanish class about a girl who was named Esperanza and hated it, so that tinges the name to me. It sounds very Hispanic to me, so if you're not Hispanic or Spanish, it might be a name best in the middle name spot. Lucinda Esperanza, Susanna Esperanza, Esperanza Flora.

Athena -I want to like this so much! It's a pretty, unusual goddess name, a nice alternative to Sophia if you're looking for a name that means 'wisdom'. However, i think it's so well associated with wisdom and learning that it might feel a little stereotypical on a smart child, and painfully ironic if she's average or behind the curve. It's another one of those names I'd use for a middle name. Isla Athena, Lily Athena, Athena Daphne.

Lily -So pretty, but becoming overused. I prefer it as a nickname for Lillian, so it's a more classic name that isn't quite as trendy feeling. Lilac or Lila are nice alternatives. Lily Esperanza, Lily Georgia, Lily Harper.

Lucy -I think it's so cute, but not enough, if that makes sense. I can't picture a successful adult named Lucy. I think Lucille still feels kind of dated, but I like Lucinda as a full form. Lucinda Naomi, Lucinda Esperanza, Lucinda Theresa.

Charlotte -I have a serious soft spot for Charlotte, as it's a family name. I had a great-aunt named Charlotte Melba who I just loved. Charlotte Isobel is on my personal short list. I also like Charlotte Amelia and Charlotte Regina.

Rosalind -Said right, this is so pretty, but so many people say it RAWZ-ah-lind instead of ROSE-ah-lind. That's why I like Rosalie a bit better. People will still do it, but it's less likely to get 'rawz-ed' to me. Rosalind Verity, Rosalind Penelope, Rosalind Jean.

For boys:
Miles -I don't love it, but I do like Milo a lot. I think Milo makes a sweet nickname for Miles. Miles John, Miles Thomas, Miles Dylan.

Julius -This is Caesar's name to me. I prefer the more modern form, Julian, over Julius. Julius Ryan, Julius Brennan, Julius Theodore.

Demetrius -I know it's a real name, but it sounds like an 'elaboration' of a simpler name. I prefer Demetria (for a girl, of course!) to Demetrius. It sounds less made up. Demetrius James, Demetrius Oliver, Demetrius Marcus.

Kenneth -This is a huge family name in my fiance's family, so my first son will be James Kenneth. I don't like it much as a first name, because I grew up on South Park, and all I can think of is "Oh my god, they killed Kenny!" Shallow, I know, but a strong association. My father in law is Kenneth Ernest, my brother in law is Kenneth Ray, for middle name ideas. Kenneth Victor, Kenneth Paul.

Caedmon -I like it, but it's too complicated and fussy for modern use, I think. No one will say or spell it right, unfortunately. Again, a name best suited for the middle name spot. Julius Caedmon, Hadrian Caedmon, Caedmon Hector.

Lysander -I want to like it more than I do. It's historical! It's very unusual! It sounds similar to other popular names, like Alexander and Alyssa! Yet, I don't like it, and I can't quite figure out why. Sorry. Lysander George, Lysander Oliver, Lysander Julius.

Frederick -Not bad, but I feel like it's a bit dated. I like Rick as a nickname over the more common Fred. Frederick Noah, Frederick Calvin, Frederick Asher.

Gideon -Ah, Gideon. It's one of the names I love but always forget to suggest. Every time I hear it, I think 'I love that name!" but never remember to put it on my mental list. Gideon Cormac, Gideon Stanley, Gideon Peter.

Hadrian -I pefer the simpler and more modern Adrian. Hadrian Robert, Hadrian Martin, Hadrian Quinn.

Judah -It's not bad, but I prefer Jonas to Judah. Judah Michael, Judah Charles, Judah Kevin

I want a tat. NE body have some good sites or xamples? I would like a unique pic like a horoscope or celtic, aztec, tribal, etc. And/or phrase/poem. The phrase/poem would go on my forearms so when I put them across my body they connect like a puzzle. The phrase/poem needs to refer to family. The secureness, love, caring, etc of family. So the meaning of the words with my arms across my body like a hug gives a whole visual affect. Possibly in Spanish, French or Latin. Black or grey colors.
the words r goin on my arms, the pic will go on the deltoid area.

Answer
How old are you? If you are less than 22 you may want to reconsider. Think back to when you were 12, what tattoo would you have gotten then? If you had the blue power ranger tattooed on your back right now would you like it? What about 16? How cool are the goo goo dolls now? (Please replace the specific examples with something specific to you.) The same goes in 10 years. What will this phrase or poem mean to you then (besides that it has been on your forearms for 10 years)?

I understand they are a way to express yourself and I can dig that, but so is talking, t-shirts, music, cars and other things that aren't so permanent. Frat/sorority letters, military or other group insignias that are part of life changing experiences I can understand. The tribal Aztec armband? I don't get it. It isn't original anymore and it doesn't say anything about you. The hiragana and katakana symbols? Come on! 90% of the people who get them don't even know for sure what it means.

On top of that, they used to be taboo. Now 95% of the girls in college have a tramp stamp (pardon the expression) of a butterfly/dolphin/fairy/moon. They have lost the rarity that made them special.

If you get one, think long and hard about it and make sure it represents something that is very personal and long lasting. One last thing (if you got this far), I would stay away from the forearms and stick the tattoo somewhere that can be covered up by a shirt. In case you want to get a job where that is not considered acceptable.

Q. I want to get an elephant tattoo, just having trouble coming up with something unique.. Ive loved elephants since I was a little girl. This tattoo will go on my lower back and i want it to be really big... Any suggestions? This will be my first tattoo.. I am 31 years old.

Answer
I think like a bunch of tiny ones walking across your lower back would be cute.. Kinda like this http://tattoo.about.com/library/graphics/elephantband.jpg

or even make a design of a face like this (without the ice cream) as the face http://s4.hubimg.com/u/2131051_f520.jpg
and adding design around it like this http://a2.vox.com/6a00c11414c9125af500d4141af6823c7f-500pi

-You could even go to a tattoo shop and talk with an artist about what you want and they can sketch something up for you :)

Half Sleeve tattoo design?

AlexandraE

Ok i'm trying to plan my tattoo half sleeve. I want the main image to be an animal (either a lioness, elephant or a leopard with sad looking eyes, probably just the face of the animal) and i want it to have a colourful tree around it that goes to the top of my shoulder with maybe little coloured flowers in it, I also want a small dove and the word ahimsa written in sanskrit probably around my arm just above the elbow. ideas suggestions ?
oh im a girl and i have kinda small arms too :)

Examples of the animals i like :
Leopard http://www.zhippo.com/MarkBlanchardHOSTED/images/gallery/leopardprev.jpg
Lion http://www.steve-a.co.uk/main/images/emily1.jpg
Elephant http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3562/3600468859_8eefc3d967.jpg

Answer
I think this could be a really cool design. Here's some suggestions:

-See what each of these animals symbolize and decide which animal you think fits the best.

-Have the tree have leaves or buds of flowers flying off it that fade down your arm to connect the whole piece

-You could have the roots of the tree spell out ahimsa

-Have the tree curving like a C where the branches are at the top of C curling around your shoulder blade and the lion/leopard/elephant making a backwards C with the head of the animal going towards the crook of your arm. I think that would make the design flow better.

-You probably already know this but don't skimp on the artist or price. When it comes to a 1/2 sleeve and something as complex as this design make sure you search around for someone who specializes in color or animals and such and make an appointment. This tattoo is going to be expensive but don't have the price tag scare you aware from a highly accredited pro.

Hope this helps!

Do you like back or rib tattoos?

bub #2 on

I have one tiny tattoo on my wrist and since having it done have wanted another.
I'm considering a lower back tattoo (tramp stamp) or a rib tattoo (down the side of my torso).
do you like these?
do you have any pictures of nice ones?
something feminine and maybe a little sexy without being too 'girly'

Answer
I have six butterflies. The first one is where a tramp stamp would be and they "fly" from there to my rib cage. They are pretty large, about 4 or 5 inches each. The lady who said that ribs hurt worst is lying. I fell asleep while he was doing my ribs and wanted to scream when he was doing the lowest butterfly. Neither looks trashy unless you get something that says "screw me" or something. Don't bother people that say that it does. Some jealous girl probably made up the whole tramp stamp name! I love the way vines look and I know a girl that got something similar to my style (from the lower back to ribs) that was words in the shape of a vine. It's very classy and you can't tell they are words until you get close. I love that idea and if you have something good enough to say, go for something like that. It's not pink flowers so it's not too girly but it is sexy and still feminine. She gets tons of compliments.Just google side tattoo and lower back tattoo to get ideas, then go from there.
Have fun and good luck.

Ideas for my next tattoo?

Kelly K

I am planning my next tattoo. I know that i want it to be on my ribs, and be very colorful. I also know I want to encorporate the quote "I'd like to think the best of me was still hiding up in my sleeve" into it. I was thinking maybe flowers, but I'm not sure.. Any ideas of what the actual tattoo could be/look like/pictures?

Answer
Cherry blossom designs always look good on the ribs...or possibly an ivy design so that it looks like it's growing up your side

Both have the potential to be really colourful, and I know those are both huge but it would be easy enough to cut them down or to find a smaller design if need be. You could then have the quote incorporated by placing it on one of the branches or even have it growing out of the ivy.

Hope I've been helpful, good luck with it!

Tattoo Quotes ... Short and Honest! Pics Welcome!?

lost. conf

I have been wanting to get another tattoo for a while now but hav not found the words or place i would like it to go. i would like something that makes a bit or sense and something that i will not regret. Ive recently had a few friends diagnosed with cancer and a friends 2 yr old daughter pass from it so these are a few i have been looking at

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference
what doesn't kill me will only make me stronger
even the best fall down sometimes

i want something a bit different and im thinking i want it either down my ribs or the back of my neck, i am a small size 6 20yr old female if that makes a difference

ideas and pictures very welcome... Thanks

Answer
Tattoos on girls necks look to hard and like a biker chick.
So I say keep it off your neck.
Down Your sides and on the ribs is probably the most pain full area on the body
to get tattooed. Attitude won't made a difference in ribs.

Are these really close life long friends that your thinking about with your tattoos.
Be sure it could turn out like one of those tattoos you get with your boyfriends name
and then you break up.

Tattoo quote ideas representing a tough life?

emme

I'm thinking about getting a quote on my ribs but i'm finding it hard to find a right quote that describes my life. I'm 20 years old and growing up i dealt with a tough life but i never allowed people to see the pain i was going through. I would appear to be this happy carefree girl to all my friends, but little did they know about my life i went through behind closed doors. I do not let what happened in my past determine who i am but instead define myself to be better for the future because of it. Also along with the quote i want to incorporate a feather breaking off into birds flying off to represent the freedom i have in my life now and to let go of the past and move on.

So any ideas of a short/medium quote that would be perfect for me???
This is my second tattoo
Sorry, i meant getting a quote that represents moving on from a tough life. And after 20 years of living that way, i want to look at my tattoo and think "i got past it all and look where i am today". Also to motivate me for when things get tough again. So yes i am looking for something positive please.

Answer
You're trying to get art that represent difficult times, and you might not like them later. I always advise people to represent the positive in life, not the negative. I've had girls come in that want tattoos for an aborted baby, and other unpleasantness. They usually end up wishing they hadn't done it, later. So I try to talk them out of those kinds of tattoos.

Boys! You like girls with tattoos?

m

So how do you boys feel about girls with tattoos? Not just a tramp stamp or a little trashy tinker bell on the foot. Like, sleeves, even tattoos on the chest? Honest answers darlings.
oh, i'm already pretty tattoed. 3 on my chest and my arms are done. i dont care what guys think personally, but my friend and i were arguing, she said it makes girls look too masculine to have anything more than one small tattoo. this was posted for either bragging rights or dropping the conversation alltogether and pretending i never posted this :)

Answer
I like women with or without tattoos. Women with eye-poppin' skin art really melts my butter. But then again, I'm a man. Sounds about right. Boys don't really know what they like, for a while. (Body suits are hott!) Honest Injun.
