Tattoo ?

FreyaWhite

I'm getting a tattoo for my 17th birthday(Yes I do know you have to be 18)
And I have no ideas of what to get at all. The idea of choosing something that has to stay with my through my life is daunting.
Ive googled tattoo designs but nothing good comes up. So any ideas?
Im looking for something artistic. Im a girly girl. Nothing too big. Any ideas?
Also would I be able to design my own and hand it in to the tattoo artist?

Answer
Ask yourself why do you feel that you have to get a tattoo, when you have no idea what you want, and you're not sure how you feel about having one for your whole life. What's your hurry? Someone holding a gun to your head?
Really, it is a good rule of thumb, to not get a tattoo, unless you have an image/idea that you thought of yourself, always related to, or just 'knew' that it was right for you. If you have nothing in your head, please don't just grab something, just to do it. There are a lot of other good ideas for your 17th birthday gift.
If you 'just have to do it' .. well my advise would be to go for a flower. (unless you hate them..) but they age well, there is a huge variety or shape, style, color, and size. They can be placed anywhere and go with anything. When you are old, you will still love your flower.
So, now you think, look, search, (if you really want one). Or wait,.. there is no hurry.
Here is a good source site:http://tattoo.about.com/
Here are a few tattoo worthy flowers:

Make sure that you find a well established, experienced, licensed artist, and that way you won't be looking for a cover up tattoo, or laser removal within 5 years.
Good luck with your decision.

tattoo advice?

Naomi P

I can't wait to get my first tattoo... My only problem is the design. I want it to symbolize my spirituality. It should have a star of David, hamsa hand, ankh and eye of horus. and thats just to start. I'm thinking that they should be in a circle and they should be interlocked by either some intricate celtic knot or a snake or tribal design. But i don't know an artist and am getting it done in a town that i visit on the weekends once a month three hours away so its hard to get into a parlor to talk to a tattoo artist about it... Tell me what ya think! I'm very open to suggestions.
I don't give a shit if you like the idea or not. This tattoo means a lot to me. And yes, I am working on the design so that I like it when I get old. And I couldn't give a shit if you think it'll make me look skanky. I don't know you and I don't want to have sex with you so I DONT CARE
Also, I have researched this. I know what to look for in an artist, in a shop, and how to take care of it. I just need to figure out how to design the tattoo.
*sigh* i've wanted this for years. and it doesn't matter if i change, then it represents the way i am now. im not tattooing a boyfriends name, i'm tattooing my spiritual beliefs of the time and that is something special that stays with you your whole life.
if you are not giving advice about how to get the design down, then dont leave anything. i've wanted this same design for YEARS. just now i'm old enough and have money for it.

Answer
Ugh, don't do it. Tattoos on girls are skanky.

Additional:

Sweetie, if you don't want people's opinions, don't ask questions. Free world and all that.
Be careful answering her questions, she sent me a email full of F this and F that.

If I want to get a tattoo how to I draw out the design?

Q. I want one kind of like my avatar picture but it has major differences, how could I make one online?
Also above It I want it to say God bless then to the left of the deer's nose I want it to look like its 3d saying out then on the right I want it to say laws in the same way, then under the deer I want it to say like me,would a decent artist be able to do this?

Answer
Sketch it out yourself, just so that the tattoo artist can get an idea of what you want...
Most tattoo artists will re-draw what you want to make sure it's exactly right.
Just go in and talk to the guy/girl who's going to do that tattoo.
Yes, they can do just about anything!

What are some cool white ink tattoo ideas? (Any pros or cons to this particular color of ink?)?

Lovely

So, I've always wanted a tattoo, but I want to do it when I'm 18 (16 now) and professionally.

I saw some pictures I thought they all look surprisingly classy and elegant. I thought of a few advantages such as they are harder to see (so good for work and parents won't flip out) and they seem to look pretty good.

So I was thinking of maybe a tribal design on my arm (girl btw), or my tribe on my wrist (I'm half white and half aboriginal. Cree and proud). But, I saw some other cool designs like bamboo on the leg and some elegant shoulder design.

It will be my first tattoo, so I wanna start off small. Also, how much would a small one cost? Like, on my wrist of something?

Any idea insight or anything would be much appreciated!!

Answer
White ink tattoos are ridiculous to me (no offense.) If you don't want anyone to SEE the tattoo, why are you getting tattooed?

My husband has been tattooing for fifteen years and hates doing them, for the simple fact that people can't actually see them, they have to get touched up numerous amounts of times, and with what the cost of a bottle of white ink is he has to hike up the price of the tattoo. So, okay.. you have your 'advantages', but think of the disadvantages as well. The sun will turn the white ink yellow - it does in just about everyone, and the artist will only cover the first touch up, not the five that follow. But anyways..

He had a customer about a week ago who got all of her kids astro signs tattooed on her wrist in white ink. (You said you wanted something small on your wrist). The tattoo total was only about three inches down the wrist, and she was charged $200.

Just remember when getting them done it will be hard to find an artist who wants to do them, and who will do them for a reasonable price.

Good luck.

tattoo design idea? feedback and ideas?:)?

Stace

i didn't just want a broken heart design haha i wanted something more subtle and unique to me but i have absolutely no idea where to begin. i'm getting a sleeve tattoo and im currently designing it so it's personal to me. i plan on getting both arms done. my left arm is for the past.. my right arm is for the future (im not planning my right arm yet)...

left arm: since i didn't do as well as i could have in school and was called a 'waste of talent' by many close teachers (i was predominately a massive sporting potential for greatness) because i wouldn't attend sport sessions,i would be late to class, misbehave and this was because i went through a massive rebelling stage and normal teenage phase i suppose... i now play pretty high up in my sport after pulling myself together and have shocked some of the teachers. i wanted my tattoo to start at the top of my arm: i wanted the outline of my school buildings in detail and next to it a sports field slightly in the background and in front of it the back of an athlete facing the school with my helmet in my hand by my side. (representing me but you can see my face only my jersey number and surname) - THIS is the top of my sleeve.. feedback on this would be great.

As for my forearm.. a girl i loved in school never loved my back (she never knew i loved her) but it was a massive part of my life and influencing me so i wanted something to represent that on my forearm after the school facilities and athlete looking onto the complex.

what do you guys think of my ideas so far? critical feedback is always welcome :)

Answer
im thinking about getting something like this.. http://www.tattoogathering.com/Tattoos/Bez/tattoos_58647.html

but a little different, with a different style of robot and better details of nature, but its a cool collision of opposite worlds (just an idea for the right arm haha)

I like the idea with the left arm though, but you should twist it up maybe, make it a little abstract to where people wouldnt be like, oh nice picture of UCSD.. make it have some meaning. im not sure how to explain it, but you should make it to where people would get different ideas of what it means. (ive never liked tattoos that are just there that mean one thing, like the broken heart for example like you said)

But overall, I think that would be a great tattoo (even if you did it as just a mural of it) if you did that though, i think the best way is to have it extremely detailed. maybe where their would be a sign you could put quotes in very fine print so people would always be finding new things about it. Have hidden immages.

I hope i help

Cute tattoo ideas for teenage girl?

Kewlgirl

So im only 15 and wont get one till im atleast 18. I was thinking about getting angel wings on the back of neck with a heart in the middle and getting the words stay strong somewhere on it. Any one have any other ideas? do u like mine?
thanks

Answer
You shouldn't get a tattoo anywhere you can't cover it. You may become less employable if you have extreme tattoos or piercings where they are visible. You mind of what kind of tattoo you want will probably change by the time you're 18. I do like your idea though.

What are some tattoo ideas for a girl.?

AVictoriaT

i like the look of brass knuckles and flowers and the bird the swallow.
but i need to open up my horizon and see what else would be nice.
i really adore tattoos & the look of them. So help me with ideas. Anything please (:

Answer
As a huge tattoo fan, and a tattooed person myself, my advice to you is this...

DO NOT get any tattoos that are mere fads (such as brass knuckles and nautical stars and swallows), and tattoos that do not mean a LOT to you personally.

Whenever I see brass knuckles or nautical stars or swallows or other "trendy" types of tattoos, I think... wow, that's stupid, and that person is going to regret that s**t when they're older. Why? Because it doesn't have anything to do with their beliefs or their personalities or them as individuals.

I believe that tattoos should be expressions of peoples' individuality. So think about what you love... what your beliefs are... what your favorite hobbies are... the things that you believe will NEVER CHANGE for you or about you... because if you get a boyfriend's name or a cartoon character or something on your skin, and then you stop liking those things, you're going to regret the tattoo, and it costs a hell of a lot and hurts a hell of a lot (from what I've heard) to have it removed.

So anyway, just think about what would be special to you personally, and think about it for quite a while before you actually commit to it, because... well, tattoos are forever!

how much does a lower back tattoo hurt?

Jenn

hi im a 19 year old girl and im thinking about getting a lower back tattoo. not too big cuz it's my first and i;m really scared of getting one. just a little heart tattoo. about twice the size of a quarter? how much does it really hurt and i heard that if women get a lower back tattoo then they will be unable to get an epidural. is that really true?

Answer
You ask how much a lower back tattoo will hurt. If you make that big mistake and you get one, you will experience a lot of pain and you will bleed. You will not be in a hospital or operating room, and there is a chance you will catch some vile blood-born disease like hepatitis or flesh eating bacteria. Your wound may become infected. The so-called "tattoo artist" may make a mistake and you will be stuck with the results. I strongly recommend you reconsider getting tattooed. Your body is clean now, and not profaned by any graffiti, but that will change forever if you pay some tattoo predator to ruin your body. Just don't do it is my advice to you! You have lasted this long without tattoo, do not cave to the pressure from lesser people or a sick society and take that fatal step. Everything will change for you, for the worse, after you get that first tattoo.. Let me tell you why I am so anti-tattoo and so anxious that you not take this ugly step. The true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. Many people will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. Your chances of getting a good job will be greatly diminishedâmost companies will not hire you since your tattoo will be seen as offensive to other workers. There is nothing good about a tattoo. A tattoo is little better than a cartoonâyou canât get a good quality drawing on the human skin. Tattoos are an urban blight. They are ugly, like graffiti. Like graffiti, they lower the quality of the environment. Tattoos lower the quality of life, for everyone who has to see their ugliness. I donât like the whole concept of tattooing, the way these hideous cartoons are inked into the flesh of people through bloodletting and pain; to me they are a dark and evil art. Tattoos are closely linked to other forms of self harm, like cutting, piercing, drug use, etc.; they are hand-in-glove with these destructive behaviors. I donât like the way evil people encourage our vulnerable children to get tattooed, so they can make money off of them. They do not care that they are causing harm. And yet, these evil ones, these tattoo predators, are even admired by their deceived victims. Young people are fooled into wanting tattoos by degenerate Hollywood and the media. Kids think tattoos are cool and cutting edge, but over time, they wind up hating their tattoos. Far worse, they wind up hating themselves. Parents and older people are so afraid of being disliked that they say nothing against tattoos, even though they know better. Worse, some completely abandon their responsibility to provide sound guidance and even encourage the young ones to get tattooed. As far as tattoos being âartâ, that is garbage. A tattoo is NOT "a work of art". The human body is not a canvas and the abusers and mutilators who desecrate it are not artists. Most of their so called "art" is little better than comic book drawings. . More and more young people are buying into this Hollywood lie that tattoos are a cutting edge way to âexpressâ yourself. But that is so not true. You should express yourself with your words and actions, not by inking graffiti onto your living flesh. I have no tattoos. I hate tattoos and those who inflict them upon our young people. Do not listen to the many predators and enablers here, who encourage young people to abandon decency and live self indulgent and destructive lives. Young peopleâdo not get tattooed. Stay in school, do your best there, avoid drinking, drugs, tattoos and piercings, and avoid those who have them. Go to college, study science, mathematics, or business, and avoid liberal arts (unless you are wealthy and donât need to make a living). God bless you in your life.

What are some popular tattoo ideas for girls?

meg

Ex - Hearts, Stars.

But the way its designed

Answer
The best tattoo idea for a girl is to stay far, far away from tattoos and those who have them. Any tattoo is a vulgar attack on the decency of man. And yet, more and more young people are buying into the Hollywood poison that tattoos are cool ways to âexpressâ yourself. But it is not true. You should express yourself with your words and actions, not by inking graffiti onto your living flesh. The message you will actually convey with a tattoo is âI am foolishâ, âI am unemployableâ âI make bad decisionsâ âI am a gullible robot that will do whatever I see on TVâ. I suggest you do not get a tattoo. A tattoo is a permanent cartoon-like drawing that will permanently your body like ugly graffiti defaces a public building. There is an 80% chance you will regret it, especially when you start to notice how regular, normal people react to you. They will look at you with disgust and pity, and over time, it will really get to you. Nothing illustrates the degeneration of western culture more than blind youth permanently disfiguring themselves over some warped idea of âexpressionâ Tattoos are permanent. You can not take them back.

symbol to represent sisters?

Emelia Hon

I want to get a tattoo for my 18th birthday but I want to dedicate or represent my sisters in some form. I have 5 sisters so its 6 well 7 girls in total including me and my mom. Anyways they have been the ones who made me into the person I am today. Although we fight and complain about eachother we can't live without one another. I can't see myself being far from them. We have a strong bond. I want a tattoo to incorporate that in some form. Can anyone give me some ideas? I have some ideas in my head but I want to be open to more ideas. Thanks

Answer
1. Take the first letter of everyones first name even if the letter is the same, figure out your motheres zodiac sign or some hippy awesome symbol that represents her and find a way to incorporate all the first letters of all their first names into ur moms zodiac sign or something sign.
2. Get those cute little black birds on your back near your shoulder that are in all those tumblr pictures and smally under each bird right the persons name or first letter in their name and have them all be following your mom who's bird is a bit bigger
3. around your ankle get everyone's name tattooed
4.On your forearm bring a picture to the tattoo artist of your family in one pic and have them copy it to your arm
Alright that's all i can think of, good luck :)

What do you think of tattooed girls?

I've been around tattoos my entire life. My dad, uncle, grandfather, & two of my brothers are all heavily tattooed. I've wanted tattoos ever since I was little & my father is supportive as long as I don't get any that are easily visible & could get in the way of getting a job. I've been planning a sleeve from the top of my shoulder to around my elbow. It's a sketch I've been drawing & editing for the last 7 years & it's going to be my 18th birthday present before I head off to college. However, I don't want people to get the wrong idea if they somehow see it.

What do you think when you see a girl that is tattooed? Obviously not a small one, something big like the sleeve I'm planning to get. It's okay to be rude, I just want your honest opinion & your reasoning, if you have any.

Answer
I personally think tattoos on girls are hot, as long as it's strategically placed. Too much tattoo or certian designs make them look manly or dirty. Personally, that sleeve tattoo u're planning doesn't seem a good idea, especially for a girl. What if you need to go to a formal party in the future? U can't wear sleeveless gowns or dresses without looking manly. Usually, the ones that look great on girls are on the the back of the neck, hand, armband or back of the shoulders and the ones that are not overly-colored and do not exceed 3 inches.

Well, it's actually just a matter of preference and your own style. It's still best to get one that suits your personality, because tattoos shouldn't just be accessories but self-expression. The stuff I mentioned above are just tips to consider. Also consider the fact that some employers don't accept inked emploees, like in some hotels, restaurants, planes and ships. So if your dream career is related to those, I suggest you think about it really well.

At the end of the day, it's still up to you. Good luck. :)

Have you ever seen a good tribal butterfly tattoo?

inevoielas

I want a tribal butterfly for my daughter because butterflies hold a lot of meaning like new life, change and reincarnation for example. If I had a son, I would choose a phoenix but I thought a butterfly would be more for a girl. I don't want an actual butterfly, I want it tribal just so that it symbolizes a butterfly. And I want an ankh symbol for the body (middle part). I want the wings open. I'm thinking of getting this on my chest because it is so important, and having a surface piercing put in it with a diamond for her birth stone.

The problem is, I haven't seen any pictures of a tribal butterfly that I really like (especially not for a chest piece) but the idea I have in my head is beautiful and I can't draw to show a tattoo artist. And I'm not sure how I want the ankh to look either. Any pictures or suggestions for me to look at would be helpful, and opinions. Also, have you seen any tribal art with colour in it instead of just plain black? I wouldn't mind some colour in it, but I don't know how that would work.

I don't want the butterfly to be huge. It's going to be up higher in the middle of my chest just beneath the collar bone, and later on I'll think of things to add on the side.
Yes, I want the tribal art to be a little bit more delicate or just more space in between the black lines. And I want the lines ended in points. I don't like tribal art that is really round.

Should I get a neck tattoo?

Jessica

I am planning on getting a tattoo on the back of my neck. I am a girl and I am 18 and I am majoring in broadcast journalism. The tattoo I want is pretty much like this: http://www.lovelytrends.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Kendall-Jenner-%E2%80%9CSweet-16%E2%80%B3-Tattoo-2.jpg

Very small, not too noticeable. Plus, my hair is very long and I know I won't be cutting it anytime soon, so if I want the tattoo to show, I will put my hair up and if not, then I'll just put my hair down and nobody will see anything!
Do you guys think it is cute? I really want a tattoo, I feel like it is a nice expression of your beliefs.

Answer
Honey my instincts tell me that for you to even have thought of posting this on yahoo ask, that tells Me you should wait a little bit. You don't get something unless you are like "I want this, wanted it years ago, still want it, will always want it, and I don't care who says what, I'm getting it no matter what!"
That's how positive you should be when it comes to ink!

My honest tips?

You are 18 it won't kill to wait!
If not, Do the mature thing and start with something somewhere that is covered by clothing. Unless you're a loser and getting it for other people to see...
When you have an established career and have settled down, then you can start playing around with other areas if you still feel the need.

If it's for you, it should'nt matter if it's covered more.
Also, don't make the mistake of getting something you think is cute bc you saw it recently. It's hard to imagine now but when you're a grown adult, you will still be you, but you'll have changed more than you think.... So something you LOVE now, you might think is stupid later.
There are things I would have gotten 5 years ago that I thank GOD I didn't!
You have plenty of time and it's not going anywhere so if you know you want it that bad, it wouldn't kill you to wait a year bc if you still want it then, it'll still be there and get it!

If you go to 25 year olds, ask them if they are different and have different taste than when 18, ALL will say yes... It's human nature to change. So make sure you pick something timeless bc no matter what you believe, there's no way you know how you'll be in 5 years! (Just think if you got a tattoo 5 years ago when you were 13!)

Also, make sure you always get tattoos that mean something.
99.99% of FEMALES that get something just because they liked it, end up hating it. But if it's a personal reminder (like a tribute to your mom, a reminder to never give up, a prayer to keep Jesus with you, a symbol marking an important triumph you had..etc) you'll love it even if the image gets stale.

Lastly... Never get a "trend" tattoo (trends never last forever, tattoos however do!). Do you know how many tribal butterfly tramp stamps are lasered off each day!?
And never get a tattoo you saw on someone or on a wall. ALWAYS personalize it to make it unique. You want other girls hopping around rocking identical shit on their bods?? You're body is more special than that.

When I pick a tattoo design, I wait 2 years each time and it's saved me from 2 regrets and also gave time to improve the ones I wanted originally bc gave me time to think of "OMG, I could move this over there and change this and make it look 10X better!"

You can do what you want but it makes more sense to wait...
Good luck

Were are some of the best places to get tattoos?

Q. Im getting a tattoo in a few weeks and I thought i knew what i wanted to get but now Im having doubts.

I wanted to get a small one either in the lower center of my back...or one behind my neck (like rite around the hair area). Were are some good places? and what are some good designs?

Answer
On your ankle, the back of your neck, and back shoulder are good places for girls to get tattoos. You should get your zodiac sign (if you like the design).

Good tattoo idea Yo ?

Max

I'm a male and I'm turning 18 in a month and I want to get a tattoo...but I have no idea of what I want. Would be a great help if someone give a an idea, maybe something to be with the fact I'm turning 18 or something like that. Peace

Answer
Your First Tattoo should be small to medium size at first in a place that you can cover with pants or a shirt if you don't know what you want already (this way it can be Hidden for employment or whatnot). It should also not be in Color since some people Decide after they get a Color Tattoo, that they should have stuck with only Black and White, and the Color tattoo is the one they don't like the most. No Color, unless it's something your absolutely sure you want, not a impulsive Decision. Many Shops Have Hundreds of Designs in books when you get ther you can flip through (I assume this is a rite of Passage type thing), so don't get any writing, or anything that represents your age, when you are older you may regret it, wait until you are sure what you want for Tattoo's like That. My buddy and I ditched school when I turned Eighteen and both got Tattoos that day, no Idea what we wanted, but all the High school girls back then dug guys with Tattoos. My buddy got a Scorpion about 4" big in Black and White, he was Mexican/Native American so it fit him well. I got a 4" tall picture of "Marvin the Martian" from Looney tunes shooting a Ray Gun in Black and White, we were in L.A. County. We both Decided on our Right Upper arm. Now I have 14 Tattoos, and want 3 More in U.V. Ink (Shows up in Black light, with a lightly visible outline (Scar like) in all other light. I am an Ex-Paratrooper, so my Social Security Number Means alot to me, so I want to get it (in U.V. Ink) in Barcode form on the Back of my neck, also in U.V., on the Back of my Hands I want to get an Oroboros (U.V., Left Hand, Dragon eating it's own tail represents Reincarnation and the Circle/Cycle of Life), and a Hong of War(U.V.,Right Hand, Two Head Dragon upright with the two heads Fighting/Facing Each other, represents War, and to me the last 10+ years of "Holy" War, From Ghangis Kongs day back in Mongolia and China). I am Ordained Taoist and most My Tattoos have Religous meaning, my Left Arm: ForeArm; (Front) Taurus Constelation Mapped out (also on my right, both at wrist level, For the 12 month Zodiac, my Sun sign and Moon sign are the Same), year of the Rabbit (B-Day in Chinese Zodiac Script), Hexagon/Hexagram (Star of David, I am 1/8 Jewish of French Decent) (Back of ForeArm) Egyptian Ankh with infinity Sign in it (sideways 8, or 2 perfect Circles Joined, wrist level), U.S. Army Airborne Wings (with Green/Olive Drab Parachute Conopy) with Black Beret on it (for Rangers, before the Army switched to everyone wearing a Black Beret), Yin and Yang. Upper left: Tribal Arm Band (all the way around, from one side of my pit to the other), Sign of Aries (the 13 sign Zodiac, modern Zodiac, same as on the right also). Upper Back/Low Neck: Star of Lakshmi, Rub el Hizb (Octogram/Octogon, faded a little so take care of yours, espeacially the first week). Right Arm: ForeArm: (Front) Taurus Constelation Mapped, Year of the Dragon (year I was old enough to become a Chief in Judaism, in Chinese Script, I wanted something Dragon Related but not a cheesy Dragon Picture) and a Penticle (5 Pointed Star, 5 elements, earth, Water, Fire, Air, Heart) (Back, otherside) Sacred Heart (burnt almost completely off, years later) on a Sword shaped like a Crucifix (Color). Upper Right Arm: Peace sign in Rose stems (blurred spikes 20 years later) with amererican Stars and Stripes inside, Marvin the Martian (From Looney tunes, "must Destroy the Earth it Disrupts my View of Venus, Where is that P-38 Space Modulator?".), Sign of Aries.

I put the ones on my left because they represent the Loving and nutureing side of Religion, and the ones on my right (i.e., the Right Hand of God) represent the Wrathful side of Religion, except for Marvin, I still like my Marvin though, I have had it 18+ years, and Looney tunes are timeless, and Innocent.

Oh yeah, if you take in your own Design, be sure to make sure the Artist takes into account that when he Copies it, if he uses a photo copier, it will be Mirror imaged (Reversed), so he has to copy it twice, My beret on my Airborne Wings is on reversed, because I didn't notice, and don't be surprised if you have to go in and get touched up after (it's usually free if you go in a week or two after you get it, and get a reciept for proof.

you could go always go the Zodiac route, Besure to read my answer though:

need help on a "country girl" Tattoo design!!!?

Okay, so I want a tattoo that shows my âred neckâ side. I donât want it to have the rebel flag in it or a bass or a deer like all other red neck tattoos. And it of course needs to be a tattoo that would look good on a girl. Im not opposed to camo but I donât want to much of it. And I donât want it to just flat out say âcountry girlâ or âred neck girlâ, just something that represents it with out looking trashy or tacky. I am a tattoo artist so I can draw it up myself, I just need ideas! Please help!!!

Answer
If you're a tattoo artist, I'm sure you can appreciate a good pin-up girl! What about a "country" pin-up girl that you can draw to resemble your version of Annie Oakley mixed with some of your own features and maybe holding a banjo or a pistol with a train of smoke coming out of it or the pin-up surrounded by flowers that grow in the country... maybe tree blossoms of some sort. Out here we get beautiful cherry and apple blossoms, and dogwood tree blossoms.

hmmm. it also depends on where you're planning to get it done and how big you want it. but I like the idea of a country inspired pin up with a few things incorporated that mean something to you... like it could be wearing a sheriffs badge and your moms initials could be on it, things like that.

Tattoo help...(guys answer)?

I want to get a tattoo on my side with a skull whose forehead is cracked and a black rose garden.
I also want a design like Adam Levine's on my arm.
And I wanted to know if guys like girls with those kind of tattoos...I also play lots of video games.

Answer
I tend to be drawn more towards girls without tatts, though a subtle bit of ink on her shoulder or ankle can be a bit enticing. Your design, however, does sound very intriguing, and depending on the artist, could look very awesome. If you can draw up a sketch, or know an artist that can do it right, go for it!

That being said, every guy has their preference, so it really depends on the company you keep, as well as the type of guy you're looking to attract. And even then, it varies depending on the person. The fact that you're a gamer, however, would probably add to the appeal. ;)

It's your skin, and if you want to use it to express yourself, by all means, do so. If a guy were to like you, I think he'd be able to appreciate that.

I want a rib cage and shoulder blade tattoo. I need ideas!?

Jessie

I turned 18 last month and I've thought it over and i really would want a shoulder blade tattoo and a rib cage tattoo.
I want my rib cage tattooed first and I'm an hourglass figure so i kinda have a small side.
what are some cute pictures I can get.
I'm not a girly girl. I really like this for my left rib cage: http://www.tattoosbydesign.com/rate_my_tattoo/tattoos/tattoo/act/flowers_and_vines_on_ribcage_6136240155496.jpg
please and thank you!

Answer
Hey... I think you should search some temporary tattoo websites like http://www.temporarytattoos.in , http://www.picassoexports.com , http://www.tattoomanufacturers.com . They have got a wide collection of temporary tattoo design in temporary tattoo collection, I'm sure you'll get some idea about shoulder blade tattoo and a rib cage tattoo.

What do you think of this tattoo design?

Featherwei

Basically i want 'Do you love me?' in italics (perhaps another language) on my left rib-cage (its near to the heart; represents the depression i tend to go through and also quite ironic as anyone seeing that tattoo will be seeing me probably naked therefore, i would have to trust them), but i dont know the position.
I want the positioning to be like:
http://wreckingbalm.com/tattoo-removal-blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/celebrity-tattoo-megan-fox-rib-tattoo-255x300.jpg
or:
http://images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/4400000/Taylor-Momsen-s-Tattoo-gossip-girl-4411112-452-319.jpg
except just a single line across, around the bottom of my bra strap.

Only problem is i cant decide whether i should have it horizontal extending towards my back (like the girl in the first pic, except only one line) Or vertical (like if i drew it on myself).

Any ideas?
as well, what would the pain be like?

Answer
Lettering tattoos don't age well, especially when they are done in italics. In order for the letters to stand the test of time, they need to be done large and in a bold font. If not, it will look like scribbles over time, and you'll hate them. I don't like lettering tattoos at all, never have. But, to each their own, just know the potential for it to look horrible.
