I'm getting my first tatt next Thursday.
I plan on getting "A-344" on my wrist in this kind of design, but it will be a bit bigger, not by much though.

I went to the parlor and got an estimate. The girl said $80 for a half an hours work which I personally think is kind of expensive... I would have expected around $50 at most, but I made the appointment anyways because this parlor is reputable in the OC.
Just wondering... how much should I tip my artist afterwards? A lot of my friends are saying 15-20 is decent and 10% is considered minimum... But I think for a tattoo like mine, 15-20% is alot.
and uhh ive been taking diet pills.
they're not FDA approved.
i know that you're not suppose to take any painkillers i.e. tylenol before getting a tattoo done because supposedly you bleed everywhere.
does the same go for the diet pills??

Tattoos are expensive for many reasons, first off you are pay someone for their skill.. Drawing, and tattooing are obviously not easy, and not everyone can do it... They are artists. it takes time and patience to tattoo. Needles are not cheap, ink is not cheap, cleaning supplies are not cheap... i think 80 bucks for that tattoo is not worthy of complaint. Some parlors charge 80 bucks a letter... oh and yes i agree w your friends, at least give them 20 extra for their artistic skills and the time they've put into your design. Most of the money you'll pay will go for the supplies- so be nice... and tip tip tip. :)

I want to get a tattoo, on my back.
I dont really know what I want yet, but I'm looking for unique idea's, nothing common.
I'd prefer something with bright colours, but something beautiful, and really pretty to look at .
Not too big , but not too small .
I want more of a tattoo that will come from the deepest part of the curve in my side, and curve around my shoulder blade.
