Answer
You can try going with a tattoo style design. I think a lot of people would go for that, plus its a really fashionable right now for graphic tees. Try a Japanese dragon incorporating your school colors or something tribal looking. Add the text with the name of your school somewhere that flows well with the design(duh) and maybe look up some classic tattoo fonts. Also, you can play with the orientation of the graphic on the tee. IE: instead of centering the graphic you can off set it so some of the print is on the sleeve or even off the shirt? Ya dig?

Hope this helps.

Asian tattoo help...?

royale_inl

I got the chance to go to Japan this summer and decided to get a tattoo to remember it by. But I talked to my expatriate uncle who lives near Tokyo and he warned me that even though a tattoo may seem like a good idea, unless the artist is Asian, it could turn out terribly. Plus, when you go to Japan, if you have something like Fuji-san tattooed across your back people will think it's really stupid.

So I was just wondering what some safe ideas would be for an Asian tattoo. I just want a picture so far, no characters. And I'm a girl who is planning on getting it on her shoulder blade. Thanks!

Answer
You can choose your tattoo diagram from the tattooist shop in Japan. Japanese tattoo are very colourful and attractive. Since you want it on your shoulder blade, you must careful to choose and also the skill of the tattooist, because Japanese tattoo is not a simple diagram. You must enquire that in future, you want to add-on some tattoo diagram to enhance your previous diagram, is it possible to add on... Japanese tattoo is very unique.

You can do a Fuji-san tattoo as a background, it is not a stupid idea. You can add some few interest logo relate to the Japanese culture onto a Fuji-san as a background. You must see the art piece design first before transfer to your body. If attractive, tattoo it, otherwise, tell the tattooist to amend the diagram if you don't like.

Of course, the artist should be a Japanese Asian, because they know their culture well. They will tell you the meaning of the tattoo art which you really want to know.
